Metalino flame arrestors

Metalino flame arrestors protect gas systems against explosion caused by flames. In emergencies, the flame arrestor element stops the flame.
During a normal process, ventilation or gas flow remains possible.

Design: various types, always manufactured against customers specifications.
In our custom-made flame arrestors, stainless steel mesh elements are fitted inside the housing of the arrestor, thereby creating a narrow passage for the gas flow.
This labyrinth forces the flame to divide into a multitude of smaller flames, which in their turn are cooled and finally extinguished during their passage through the element.

Metalino manufactures two typical types of flame arrestors:

#2; End-of-Line type.
